Technique
- 1Lead with the king and push the pawn later.
- 2Aim for the squares in front of your pawn (d7, e7 or f7).
- 3Push the pawn only when it can't be blocked or captured, and watch for stalemate.
Why it works
King ahead of the pawn wins. The king escorts it, and the pawn is pushed only when the path is safe.
