Why Wings Chess is different
- A coach built from Stockfish analysis: Stockfish finds the moves, chess.js writes the facts, and the AI may only explain those facts.
- Bots that blunder like humans: Calibrated against how real players at each rating actually lose material.

What you can do here
- Follow a learning path of 85 lessons, from how the pieces move to club-level tactics and endgames.
- Play 6 rated bots (400 to 2000) and four personalities, or send a friend a challenge link.
- Import your games from Lichess or Chess.com: your own mistakes become puzzles, and spaced repetition brings them back.
- Ask the coach about any position, in any lesson or after any game.
Credits
- Puzzles from the Lichess puzzle database (CC0): 1500 rated puzzles across 25 themes ship with the app, each checked by Stockfish. Every puzzle links back to its page on Lichess.
- The chess engine is Stockfish (GPLv3), running in your browser.
- Opening statistics come from the Lichess opening explorer.
How we treat your data
No advertising trackers. We count visits with Google Analytics, only to see which pages help (details in the privacy policy). Your progress is stored in your browser; if you create an account it is synced so it follows you to other devices. The engine runs on your device. When you use the AI coach or bot chat, the position, recent moves and your message are sent to generate the reply.
